Antique Mahogany Dental Cabinet — As-Is, Refreshed, or Finished to Your Color

from $2,450.00

Description

ANTIQUE MAHOGANY DENTAL CABINET · AS-IS, REFRESHED, OR FINISHED TO YOUR COLOR

An American dental cabinet in solid mahogany, built around 1910-1925, back when a dentist's instrument case was the most expensive object in the room. Three upper doors glazed in chipped-ice glass sit over a beveled mirror strip on scrolled brackets. Below it, twenty-eight drawers — shallow instrument trays graduating to deep storage, every one lined in the original billiard-green felt with its dividers intact. The whole case stands on a plinth of green-veined marble. A few of the knobs are missing. We can source all new knobs, or we can put new knobs on only the top few drawers to retain most of the original ones - your call!

You have three ways to buy it. As-is, cleaned and conditioned with the original mahogany and every original detail left exactly where it is. Refreshed — stripped to bare, re-stained in the tone you pick, glass knobs cleaned and the missing ones matched and replaced. Or finished to your color: coat over coat, sanded flat between each one, from a chalky matte to a mirror lacquer.

Thirteen inches deep, so it takes a hallway or a narrow wall without crowding it. Built for an entry, a dressing room, or a studio that needs thirty small homes for small things.
