Chippendale batwing backplates with a small swinging drop ring instead of the usual bail. The ring version is less common than the bail and reads a little more delicate, which makes it a good choice for a smaller drawer or a piece where a full bail would look heavy. Marked K602. We have the larger K603 size listed separately.

- Stamped batwing backplate with a swinging cast drop ring

HOW IT MOUNTS
The ring hangs from a single post that passes through the square hole in the middle of the backplate and through your drawer front, held from behind with a cotter clip. A small round hole at the bottom of the plate takes the included nail, which keeps the plate from rotating. Your drawer front needs a square hole for the post.

CONDITION
Used, Good. Wear and tear from regular use, still fully functional. The plates carry tarnish and some spotting, shown in the photos. They can be cleaned up or left with the aged look.

ABOUT THIS PIECE
Estimated 1950s to 1970s. Plated Chippendale hardware in this pattern was produced in volume through the mid-century Colonial Revival years.
